BLOG TASK – WEEK 5: THOUGHTS CONCERNING MY PORTFOLIO SITE
The style I had decided to use in my portfolio website is simple, colourful and someone could say a bit childish – with cute drawings as navigation and my tag name as repetitive element in the design.
I will use colours I have used in my tag name design. I want the website to be bright and colourful but in the same time not too overpowering so I will keep white background for other elements to stand out.
My idea for layout is to have the navigation on the top right corner on each site excluding the home page, one division with the thumbnails of my work/video and one division box with description. There will be lite box appearing in order to see larger images. About me page will have one big division in order to fit all text and pictures without need to scroll.
Overall I would like to keep all the content visible on one site, I might need to change it in the future when where will be more projects to show – especially with video screen taking quite a lot of space.
The design is one element- is transforming it to html and css what worries me the most. Cause solving one problem can take few precious hours. When I am stuck on something I try to search it on the web and fortunately I am not the only one with my concerns. There are a lot of tutorials and forums helping with solving the issues. This is my first website design and by having to execute my ideas I learn a lot and hopefully it will be much easier in the future.
